CONFERENCE OF SWIMMING ASSOCIATIONS. ' By Telegraph-Press Association. Auckland, Febroary 56. A. conferenco of delegates of the Zealand Swimming Associations was held to-day. Mr. Bishop (president of the New Zealand Swimming Council) prosided.
Ou behalf of tho council, tho secretary O&lr. O'Neill) moved: "That the confertnco recommend a basis on which the touncil should proceed when allocating Vhe Government grant to centres." It vas decidod to recommend tliat <nv rontre applying for a grant be t.sked to submit an estimate showing how it proposed to spend tho annex,; also that centres bo asked to keep separate accounts, and that tho grant be allocated according to each centre's audited expenditure on school swimming. • It was decided to recommend the centres to appoint special officers to take charge of school swimming, and to instruct these officers to report jo the council from time to time regarding progress made. It was decided to recommend to the council the allocation of the "'icxt championships to the Dunodui Centre.
