Wnterworlh of the claim of the Wellington Sailors' Union for a bonus under tlio War Legislation Act, and His .Honour Ett the caso down for hearing on Monday, February 23. The Wellington united storomen s dispute was set down for hearing this morning. Mr. A. L. Monteilh, who appeared for- the union, intimated that the dispute had been settled except insofar as the outside, districts wore concerned. The application of Mr. A. Parlane to add further parties to the Wanganui motor-car and liorso drivers' award was ( adjourned, pending the receipt of further 'information.. ' Hearing of the application of the furnituro tmdo workers, who desire to havo an agreement made into a Dominion award, was fixed for to-day. ENGINE-DRIVERS. Various awards were filed. In the engine-drivers' dispute the order dated August 2, 1919, is canccllsd, and tho Court lias awarded the following minimum rate's of wages: Where the work that the engine-driver is employed to do requires that he shall hold a first-class certificate/ ns a stationary engine-driver, and ho is the holder of such certificate, the driver is to receive Us. 2d. per day. Tho holder of a second-glass certificate is 'to'receive 13s. 2d. . Holders of traction or locomotive certificates for engines moving from place to place by their own motive power are to be paid Us. 2d.; and firemen and greasers 12s. Bd. per day. For getting up steani when starting work, or for banking fires when ceasing, which involves working outside the ordinary hours, tho worker shall ba paid Is. additional for each hour on which ho is so employed. Nothing in the award, it is stipulated, shall apply to youths up to the ago of 18 years, employed in firing or assisting in firing. Youths employed as firemen shall be paid the following rates: 18 and under 19 years of age, 3!d. per hour. Firemen over 20 years "of ago shall be paid the ni'iniimnn rato of wages prescribed nien. The award is to take effect as from. January l. last. MARINE' ENGINEERS. An award was filed in the matter of tho, Australasian Institute of Marine Engineers (Wellington district) dispute. The award embodies, without alteration, tho recommendations of the Conciliation Council, which have already been published. II: is mado retrospective in its operation as regards wages as front July 1. 1919, and will remain in operation until December 31, 1921.

' BREWERY EMPLOYEES. In the Wellington and district brewing, ninltlymsc and battling store employees' case tho minimum wages under ths award filed are fixed as follow. Brewing and inalthouse labourers, .C 3 7s, Cd. a week for the first three months and i£3 10s. a week thereafter; bottling store labourers, .£-3.55. a. week' for tlie first three months and ;E3 7s. Cd. thereafter. In addition a bonus of. 4s. is to be paid under the Act. Casual labour is to be paid at tho rate of Is. lfld. an hour. - METAL WOEKEES. In'the case of the Wellington Metal Workers' Assistants', Union, the Court made provision fixing the minimum rate of wages for furnacemeii for work done on ships arid marine lioiler repair work, machinists not covered by other awards, and structural■steel workers engaged on erection work, Is. sid. an hour; for all othor workers, Is. sd.,nn hour. In addition to tho rates set out above, a bonus of 3{d. an hour is to lie paid. Tho Court will.sit again to-day.
