METHODIST SCHEME FOR CHINA.
(Rec. February 17, 1,45 a.m.) New York, February 15. The Pekin correspondent of tho "New York Times" states that the Methodist Conference is considering a proposal for the establishment by tho ChuTch of Christian communes throughout China, consisting of groups of 300 poor people for co-operative self-support, it is proposed to capitalist) communes only to the extent of providing them with tillable land and expert vocational guidance. The communes will abolish the uso of money and undertake manufactures oily to provide for their own needs. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
