Prime Minister an announcement that all wool clipped this season is subject to Government requisition, nnd that the woolgrowers who withhold such wool from sale to the Government are committing an offence. The following is the text of the announcement which is siened by tho lU. Hon. AY. F. Msissey: "The Department has reason to believe that certain woolgrowers are holding back their wool u infer tho impression that it will be frcw from the Government rflnuisition after Juno 30, 1920, and available for private disposition. It is advisable, therefore, to state definitely, for the information of all concerned '.that this is not so, and that wool clipped and wool produced at freezing works on or bffore thnt date cannot bo exported from New Zcalnnd, and that its Nile otherwise than to tho Govcmmen will be an cfl'ente. "The sumo position applies to skins from stock slaughtered (other than tho=e at freezing works prior to June 30, 1920)."
