NAVAL AIRCRAFT BIG APPROPRIATION SOUGHT. (Roc. February 9, 1.15 a.m.) Washington, February 7. General Craven, Director of Naval Aviation, informed the House of Representatives that the Navy Department contemplates tile construction of two giant seaplanes, the largest in tho world, and he asked for an appropriation of li3(i,oAo dollars for this work. Ho also recommended tho construction of four new N.C. planes, 150 smaller seaplanes, and three small non-rigid dirigibles, in all costing 2,700,000 dollars. General Craven said the giant seaplanes would Imve a capacity oi 1 thirty tons and a wing-spread of 140 feet—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Ai>sn.
