PUBLIC TRUST PICNIC
Tho .annual picnic of the Public Trust Office took nlace ou Thursday last nt Dav's Bay in glorious weather and turned out a great success. The Minister in Oharee. Hon. J. 6. Coates, and tlio Public Trustee, .together with officers of tho Department and their friends attended in large numbers, with the result that there were over 350 present during tho day. A sports programme and Yankee tennis tournament were held in tho afternoon, and proved very interesting, the tennis being won by Miss Beamish and Mr. Rollings. In the evening an enjoy- . able dance was held in the pavilion, tx--1 oellent music boing supplied by Mr. H. Whitemar.. The committee in charge of arrnturemonts consisted of Mrs. Masters, Misses Coiimton, Israel, Moon, M'Donnoil, and M'lnernoy, and Messrs. Dickson. Gillespie. Lusk. and Tracy; joint secretaries. Messrs. Sullivan and Haigh; The snorte officials were: Handicanper and stnrtnr. Mr. . Bonaldson; iudges, Messrs. Bnrnett and King; handicapper (swimming events), Mr. Heavy.
