PIANO MAKERS CLOSE FACTORY. London, February 4. Brainsmeads 'have closed their piano factory in London, lo the high cost of production. He principals informed the employees that they were carrying on at a heavy loss, and were employing twenty-six hands for each piano, compared with six before the war. They do not intend to recommence manufacture. This slate of affairs is due to the tendency of labour to force prices till it isr impossible to manufacture.- & us.N.Z. Cable Assn.
