A mysterious burning accident, with fatal results, occurred at Kuriwao (Clinton) on Thursday, when Annie Mary Tniin>' a single woman, agptf '10..was found dead at tho residence of her uncle, Malcolm Patterson. Deceased was apparently in good health and spirits when her Undo and aunt left in tho morning for a drive to Clinton. On the former returning four hours later ho' fonnd tho unfortunate girl lying under a willow treo with, every stitch of- clothing burned off, and in a shocking condition. Only the boots remained on the body.

At (in inquest held before the Coroner to-day a verdict was returned that the cause of death was shock, the result of burns, there being no evidence to show how tho burns were, caused.
