4 . ANNUAL MEETING. The fifth annual meeting of the Wellington Harmonic Society was held last night. Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P., president of tho society, presiding. Tho halancc-shcct showed a credit of Mi 2s. 2d. The excess of assets over liabilities stands at i!4S 18s. Bd. Tho election of officers resulted as follows :—President, Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P.: vice-presidents. Archbishop Redwood. Lieutenant-Colonel Mitchell, D.5.0.. M.P.. Messrs. 11. Allen, I. Clark, J. P. Luke. C.M.G., M.P., Robert Parker. P. S. Pope, Si Stockbridgc, and Dr. A. K. Newman, M.P.; conductor, Mr. B Temple White; deputy-conductor, Mr. V. Cutforth: lion, pianist, Mrs. T. A. Coventry; lion, secretary and trensurer, Mr. V. R, Bennett; lion, librarian, Mr. W„ ,T. Blake;'lion, auditor, Mr. C. .T. Ellison; committee members, Mrs. Johnson. Mrs. Clarke, Messrs. Paterson and Coventry. A hearlv vole of thanks to tho retiring officers and lo the chairman was carried bv acclamation.
