THE MEN STILL ABROAD. The latest demobilisation figures available show'that thero are nVit i,uO moil of the New Zealand Expedtciuiiary Fore*, still abroad. These (figures tell t!io position as on January 20. Unfortunately tho returns furnished New Zealand Headquarters aro not quite exact, in that two different sots of figures do not agree. In one rase the total is shown to be 3(13 men, and in the other 818; There has been some difficulty about tracing a small number of men in the final clcapup in England, and probably litis accounts for the discrepancy. In any case, the number oi' men involved :s very 61111*1*. . Tho strength of tho forco abroaa is as follows:— . On duty in Franco « In tho United Kingdom i 287 In hospital in U.K -5 Total 318 Included m the number 287 in the above list aro 87 men with wives and families in the United Kingdom. . Another list jj as follows-Uni ng [ repatriation, 240; for discharge in United Kingdom, 28; on duty in Francs, G; dei 6erters, 31; total, 305. ~ Tho number of men evacuated since the armistice is 48,818. There aro 2« men still 011 the winter, coming by the Athenic.
