The takings amounted to Mr.' Gladstone Hill announced that while tho proceeds of tho North Island concerts had averted <£410 a night, the four- concerts in Christclmrch had avor. aged £)90 a night.During the evening the Mayor made presentations from local admirers to Mr. Henry Verbrugghen and his wife anu daughter. ■
