MASTER BAKERS' SMOKE CONCERT

6 , As a wind-up to their conference the New Zealand -Master Bakers' Association held a smoke concert in Dustin's Rooms last evening. .The gathering, which was largely attended, was a marked success. Mr. A. P. Tonks, president of the local Master Bakers' Union, was in the chair, and those present included representatives of master bakers from Auckland to the Bluff. A lengthy toast list, interspersed "with musical items, was gone- through, and in the course of 'the 'evening reference was wade by several speakers to the good relationship existing right throughout the Dominion between muster bakers and their employees.- Music was supplied by Jiraund's orchestra, supported by Mks Fleming ami the 'Messrs. Fleming. Mr. Goudie also contributed to the programme.
