Messrs. Abraham and Williams Ltd. report that at the Fellding sale on January 23 they had a good yarding of both cheep and cattle, which sold freely under the hammer at prices well in advance of previous sales. The annual stud Sheep sale was held at Filv.lty, Masterton, on January 21 and 22, and the brokers cuiductiug the sale report as follow-.—Buyers were present from Auckland, Poverty Day, Hawke's liny, Manavatu, Marlborough, and other parts of the South Island, but the attendance of outside buyers was not up to last and previous years. The dry weather conditions which have prevailed over most of the North Island and the consequent shortage of feed is considered to be tho reason of the smaller attendance. The demand was not so keen, and a fair number o? ranis wero turned nut unsold. Doth lioraney and Lincoln owes sold well under good competition. The wet weather experienced during the days previous to the fair militated .against the appearance of tho liomneys, but some very high-clasß sheep were penned. The Lincolns generally were of a higher standard than those submitted last year. Soutlidowns were absolutely neglected, and no sales were made under the hammer. The best competition was for Komney rams Mihmittetl by Mr. William Perry, Penrose, four of whose liomneys realised 270, 150, 125, and 100 guineas; and Mr. G. F. Allen, Tipua, M), 70. and 55 guineas. Other good priccß were William Perry, 75, 65, 60, and 55 guineas; A. and J. Bray. Jffisfcrton, $7 and' 66 guineaH; W. F. Jacob, Kiwitea, 80 and 50 guineas; A. P. Boulhey, Masterton, 72 guineas; W.
