WIRTHS' CIRCUS
Wirth Brothers' circus and menagerie, always a welcome combination, will commence its Wellington season this afternoon and evening. The big tent lias been pitched in Cable Street, near tho Tnranaki Street Wharf. Visitors will bo admitted to the menageries between i iind 5 p.m. each day. Among the new nrtists are the Eddy Duo, who perform on u silver wire, turning eomersaults, said to be the only act of its kind in the world. The Garcia Brothers are a troupe of famous acrobnTs; Mdllo. Bell Onra, a dashing international gymnast on tiift trapeze, excels in feats of strength. > The Cevino Troupe of six wire-wnlkers, .in an act entitled "Tho Maniacs of the Wire," are more than i-xpert wire-walkers. They dance, run, and perform acrobatic feats on the wine, apparently as much at home on tho wire as if they were on the ground. The "loop of .death]" performed on tho trapeze by Leo Montfort. is a highly f.ensational performance, described as one that holds the onlooker spellbound. Silly Danny and his flock of trained n;cese provoko much laughter. Mr. Tox Bailey, animal trainer, is said to make trained horse, dogs, and sheen stand in groups of modern statuary—like pieces of alabaster, Thb Zo? Sisfers"are called "The Human IVerop'Unes."
