NO NEARER SETTLEMENT,

Arbuckle, secretary of the Miners' Federation, has forwarded to Mr. W; Pryor a. letter ■ coudhed in the following terms:—'ln reply to your letter of January-21, in' which you suggest that' the: Miners'- Federation act on the resolution - which you Btate was carried at'Huritly; also that your executive had considered same, and were agreeable to act oh it,'l'-must refer you to my letter Of December 2, in which I point out to you that the dispute is in the hands of the Alliance of Labour, and all comraunicotions in regard to the dispute should be sent to the secretary of. tliat organisation. I have handed your letter to. Mt. Roberts, and no doubt you will hear from- him on the matter in tho course'of a day or so." Mr. J. Roberts, secretary of tlhe Alliance of Labour, who is referred to by Mr. Arbuckle, stated to a reporter yesterday that he had nothing to say regarding the dispute.
