CONFERENCE .TO-DAY. At tho Dominion Fiu'mors' Institute today the annual conference of the New Zealand Association o£ Nurserymen will Iw opened. To-day's proceedings will takd, the form of a general nitwtiiif, and to-morrow morning the delegates will lie accorded, a civic reception, and the official opening ivill lie performed hy (lie Prime Minister. Beports will be received from various committees and remits will deal -with the need for afforestation, reorganisation of selling methods, horticultural overseas experience, need for Institute of Horticulture, with special facilities for training for nursery rmrjioses, protection for raisers and distributors of new plants, and other matters of importance to liorticulturalists. Yarious papjrs are also set down to be. : - ead, and Mr. ,T. A. Campbell, Assistant Director of Horticulture, is to lecture en. the propagation of citrus and deciduous fruit trees in America. Provision is made for the entertainment of delegates while in Wellington.
