TIENTSIN
ITALY PEEKING CHANT OF AUSTRIAN CONCESSIONS. (Dec. January 25, It p.m.) Washington, January 23. Advices from Peking state that the Italian Consul at Tientsin discussed informally with Chinese officials tho question of granting the Austrian concessions at Tientsin to Italy. The same question was brought up at the Peace Conference, whero the Chinese voiced their opposition. There is an agitation in the Chinese Tress against the granting of fresli concessions in Chinese territory to any foreign Power—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
