SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

Tho prizes in the day's sports were won by the Messrs. Grey, Riley, Wasloo, Davis, King, Jones, Shepherd Hargreaves, M'Carthy, Williams, Houeer, Cleary, Henderson. - At 8 o'clock, before a packed audience, Mrs. E. Chalk and her assistants provided a concert that at oncn hit the popular taste. The performers were Mesdumes Harding and Chalk, Miss*. Chalk, L. Clarke, Hillyer, E. Bitossi, u. Lewis, and Messrs. Harding, Cleary, I c<iderson, Hillsley and Smith, and Masters Power and Chalk. Encores were. Mlmerous. Mrs. Harding was at the piano. In the vote of thanks a sailor said: Wo wcro indeed indebted for tho day,- especially for tho home touch in all that -rag done." Tho committee and the missioner desire to thank all who "helped.
