Messrs. Abraham and Williarau Ltd. (In conjunction with Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co. Ltd.) held a, most successful eloaring sale of stock at Titahi Bay yesterday, on bohalf of tho executors of tho estate of the late Mr. H. J. Jillctt. Owing to the inclement weather there was not a largo attendance of buyers, but tho demand for all stock waß keen. Wo quote:— Two-tooth to s.m. ewes, 17s. 9d.; aged cwcb, 10s. M.; four-tooth wethers, Ms.; two and four-tooth wethcru, 20s. Id.; ewe lambß, 9s. Id.; wether .lamhs, Cb. 9(1.; cull lambs. 2s. 7d.; six-tooth rams, Cents,; potter ramn, 14s. (d.; empty heifers, £5 55.; two-year Btcora, £5; empty cow, JOs.; sheepdog, £8 10s. Tile Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited, Hawera branch market report for the week ended January 17:—At Opunukc, un Monday, there wan a small yarding of cattle, v-hich met with ready sale, and priceß were on a par with late sales. On Tuesday, at Maiiaia, there was only a small jarding. Wo Quote:—Store pigs (small), 255.; lambs, Ob. Gd. to lis.; bulla, £9 103.; store cowb, £8 17b. (id. At Palmer Itoad, on Friday, thcro was a good yarding of rattle. Dulls came forward in very large numberr. We report a good sale, and practically a total clearance waß effected under tho hammer at prices in favour of the vendors. Prices were:—Cull lambs, 10s. to 12s. Sd.; wcaner plgß, 16a.; bulls. £5 to £15; fat cows and hoifcrs. £12 to £12. 19b, ; forward ditto, £10 10s. to £11 12a.; store cows. £7 Bs. to £10: light ditto, £5: yearling steers (small), £1 7p. 6d. to £2 ss. Messrs. Abraham and 'Williams Ltd. report that ?t Palittcrston North on January 15 we had a fair entry nf both sl.cep and ttattlc, which changed hands i:.t satisfactory prices.
