PULL TEN MILLIONS ASSURED. The Minister of Finance (Sir James Allen) stated yesterday that the amount subscribed to the Victory Loan had been increased to ,£8,G00,000, but that there wero still other considerable sums to come in under tho compulsory clauses ol the law. He said that the operation of the compulsory provisions had been most satisfactory, and that the notices being sent out had discovered-very few intentional or obdurate financial shirkers. Ho said also that the Government was assured of getting tho full amount of tho loan, ten millions.
