The borough was represented at a conference hold on Wednesday by the Mayor (Mr. J. W. Card). The I'catherslon Borough Council will 1)0 represented by iho Mayor (Mr. Card) and treasurer (Mr. A. Q. Holms) at a conference in connection with the hydroelectric scheme for Iho Wairarapa, to be held in Carterton on January 21. A largely attended funeral took place in Featherstnn on Wednesday, when the remains of the late Mrs. \V. .Vlellish were laid 'at rest. The deceased lady had lunched 11 years of age.
