LONDON WOOL SALES
(Rec. January 15, 0.20 a.m.)' London, January 12. The wool sales have upened* firm. Prices for merinos are 5 per cent, above December closing rates.—Aus.-N.Z. Gable Assn. (Rec. January la, 1.25 a.m.) ' London, January 12. At the wool sales IO.GIS bales were catalogued, of which 3785 were from New Zealand. There was an excellent selection of merinos, but tho crossbreds were indifferent. There was a laTgo attendance, and good all-round competition for merinos, generally at about 5 per cent, above tho December depressed closing rates. Fino medium crossbreds are unchanged. Other 6orts were poorly represented- and somewhat irregular.—Aus.' N.Z. Cable Assn.
