The -Dolice secured the biggest haul of whiskv vet made in the King Country, last nirfit bv catching two men as they were leavinar the midnight express. It is stated that the men had ninety-six bottles in four hampers and a portmanteau, and that they left tho train, with the swae', on tho blind side. The Dolico allecrn that the whisky was brought all 'the, wav.from Wellington. The two men have been suspected by the police of landing whisky at Raetihi, Ohakune, and Taumarunui for some time. They have been summoned on the present charge to anDear in court on January 27.
