A FATAL ACCIDENT
BENZINE NEAR LIGHTED CANDLE. My 'i'eleiiraph—l'rc6b Association. Taumarunui, January. 12. Miss Rata Uuodsir, aged twemy-two, idaughter of Air. A. J. Uoudsir, iarmer, met with an accident 011 Saturday night which ended fatally. She returned from the holidays at Hamilton 011 baturday, and attended tno pictures Her parents living a few miles out, sho went to stay ' with friends in town. At 11 o'clock the family were in bed, and the first they heard was the girl rushing into the bedroom in Jinnies, and screaming. She then ran to a tap in the kitchen. Her friends followed, and extinguished the flames, bijt. she was badly burned from tile waist to the. neck. She was admitted to the hospital at midnight, and died early this morning. Deceased stnted sho was cleaning gloves with ben&irie near a lighted candle.
