LIBERTY CONTINUES HEE YOYAGE. Messrs; Dalgety and Company have recoivcd advice that tho steamer Liberty !.r „• nama 011 January 3 for Auckland, Wellington,. Lyttelton, and. Dunedin in continuation of her voyage from New lork. She is duo at the northern port on January 25, and should be in Wellington at about the end of the month. Somo little time back the vessel, after leaving Panama for New Zealand, suffered somo trouble to her engines, and had to retJurn to the Canal port for repairs. How the trouble started is not known. In consequence of the delay it is probable that a general average may be necessitated.
CROSS STRAIT SERYIOE. Mapourika, which is to maintain the Pateena's running to Picton arid Nelson, will in future' leave Wellington at noon instead of at 1.30 p.m. THE WAITEMATA. At 10 o'olock 011 Thursday morning tho Waitcmata left Newcastle for Wellington and should arrive here on Wednesday morning. She is bringing about 100 toils of timber and coke and 7500 tons of coal. WELLINGTON-WEST COAST OiRGO SERYIOE. Tho Eosamond, which arrives to-dny from New Plymouth, is to sail again on Monday for tho coast port, and will not talso any dock cargo. From New Plymouth the vessel is to go en to" Grevmouth. In connection with thia vessel, tho Union Company announced yesterday that it is probablo that the Rosamond will bo engaged in the carriage of timber and general cargo between Westport, 1 Greyniouth, and Wellington, taking from Wellington general cargo on each trip.

The Poherua was expected to leavo Onehunga yesterday for Westport, Captain Fryatt'a old ship, the Brussels, raised recently at Zeebrugge, where it had been sunk by tho Germans before their evacuation, has now been so far repaired that sho is in condition to be towed anywhere. Some misconception has arisen over tho ownership of the vessel. 'l'lio authorities regard her as tho property of tho Belgian ilovernment.
