THORNDON STATION ARRANGEMENTS
Sir,—As a recent visitor to Wellington, and with an inmiiring mind, may l ask who is responsible for the state of affairs obtaining at the Thorndofi Railway Station In company with women accompanied by children and babies, who had arrive:! from l.yttcUon and were journeying by (lie Main Trunk train, wo were hustle;! lio'ms bolus out. of even the meagre accommodation provided at tha station into the draughty, almost seatless outer prernets, notwithstanding the fact Hint we had reserved tickets for the outgoing tr.iin. I wonder tho bookstall people do not raise a protest in thus being deprived of potential customers, especially as the station is situated so far from the town. Hoping til's stato of affairs will be somewhat different when I again visit windy Wellington, —I am, etc., TRAVELLER.
