RUSH TO ENGLAND
UNPRECEDENTED IN OUR HISTORY. Despite the ninny warnings by recent arrivals from Home that' the present is the worst possible time to visit the 01(1 Country, the rush to book passages is. according to Mr. H. Desborough, local manager for Messrs. T. Cook and Son, unprecedented in our history. All tho steamers up till May are fully hooked, sind save for bookings ( falling . in through people not beiug able to. carry out their intended programme,. no further direct liners cijn be booked in any class before May. ■ Information from Australia is to the same effect, indeed, the lush to London for the English spring is said to bo even greater in Sydney and Melbourne than it is in New Zeaiand, and all berths by the Australian lines are practically taken up till March. This means that between now and May next those people who have neglected to book well ahead may expect to be disappointed. There have been busy times before in the New ZealandEngland service, but the present season has established a record. There may be chance.-;, in tho meantime, of getting through by way of San Francisco from Wellington, but even those boats are well booked up already.
