"PORT CHRISTCHURCH"
AN 'ESTIMATE ."RECEIVED. The Mayor of Christchurch stated to a representative of "The Press" on Monday that he had received an cstimato from Messrs. Timms and Kii'.man, contractors of Adelaide, for the construction of "Port Christchurch" according to the published plans. "I cannot reveal what the actual figures of the estimate are." said the Mayor, "but I can say that they are astonishingly moderate-less than half the cost of the proposed resurrection of Lyttclton and tho construction of the Tunnel mad. Messrs. Timms and Kidman also seem to view the Port Christchurch proposal with a great deal of favour,"
