Rose (Dunedin) beat Horton (Dunedin), four "P, tlireo to play- The final between Ross and Euthcrtord was keenly contested. The pair were all square at tho twelfth hole and Boss won the fourteenth, matin* 'one up. The fourteenth was halved in" four, and Rose won tho fifteenth in four to Rutherford's five, making the ecore two up. Tho sixteenth was won. bj Eutlierford with a good three, Rose ono ■np. At tho seventeenth , Rutherford hooked hie drive and Ross drove level with tho green. Rutherford topped his second shot and Ross was on tho green in two. Rutherford playing a running shot, landed on the green in three. Rosse putt Tvne short, and Rutherford lost a good opportunity, missing with his putt. Rom holed out and won the match, two up and ono to flay, netaining the championship.
