Meanwhile General Skccn's column arrived just south of Kotkai, and strong detachments were sent out to establish pickets on tho hills east of Kotkai, where the onemv appeared to be lodged in considerable force. These picketing parties worked all day under desultory fire. Their guns have been busy searching the ridge and valleys beyond, and intermittent sniping continues. Kotkai itsolf has not yet been entered.—Reuter.
