A PItOTEST AT PLYMOUTH. p (Rc-c. January 5, 0.35 a.m.) London, January 8. Tho Plymouth Pood Committee has - protested to tho Pood Ministry tor detaining the Germanic therii undischarged with 115,000 carcasses of Australian mutton and other food. An official of the Dockers' Union states that the vessel has burnt 3000 tons of coal ■ivhilo detained. There is sufficient lipiht- t erago to land the' cargo, and enough cold storage to accommodate threequarters of the vessel's cargo.—Aus.-N.is. Cablo Assn.
