BOWLS
WELLINGTON CENTRE'S TOURNAMENT BRILLIANT WEATHER AND GOOD PLAY Brilliant sunshine prevailed throughout yesterday and the heart of the bowler was glad. Three more rounds of the Wellington Centre's annual tournament were got off during the day, and the rinks are now, with only 'three moro rounds to play, beginning to figure out their cljances of being in the final play. On Thursday owing to the moist air tho greens h-.ul n bit of bite in them, but the warm sunshine of yesterday mado them very keen, and the weight had to bo very accurate to get into position. Most 'of the crack skips are still in the running, though several, with strong teams have had to struggle to gain majority at the ond of the game, and young skips in. several instances as-, sorted the claims of youth with success. The rink play will finish this evening, arid oil Monday morning a start will be mado with the final games. Section winners, ties for first place, and rinks in any section with an equal number of or more wins than those.gained by any section winner or section t'es will play off on tho sudden death principle. Iho final will probably bo played on' Tuesday afternoon. If the necessity arises tho final will be played at tho conclusion of tho Christchurch tournament.
