Howard, who were convicted of second offenccarwore finod 10s. each, the alternative being twenty-four hours' - imprison- ■ inent. .John Flanagan, who while drunk •, behaved in a disgraceful manner in Willis Street. was fined in all .£O, in default 1 seven days' imprisonment. A seaman j named' William South, while in n state' ; of intoxication in Lambton Quay, used obscene liuicuage, and 'lie was convicted i and ordered to pay fines totalling „£G. thn * alternative being imprisonment for eight f (Invs. Thomas Newton . Withers, who was found helplessly drunk, was orilered to Diiv 17s.
