MESOPOTAMIAN UNREST
TURKISH-ARAB MOVEMENT. , London, December 14. Another miniature British war -has just concluded with tho return of two columns which have been operating to the north-eastward of Mosul and to the south-eastward of Amadia in Mesopotamia after successful expeditions against tho Zibari Kurds, in order, as was officially stated, to punish them for the committal of outrages and murders. A troop consisting of four battalions of Indian infantry, a mountain battery and three companies of Assyrians met with enormous difficulties in country almost impassable, but the health of the men remained good throughout., and the losses in engagements were slight. Civil administrition has now been restored in the district, and the troops havo been withdrawn.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
