DEATH FROM PNEUMONIA

■ By Teloernßh—Prcsi Anoolatlon. Dunedin, December 30. Arthur Tufiin, a returned soldier, vho was charged with drunkenness in tho Police Court, on Saturday last and remanded for a week for medical treatment, died in the hospital last evening. An inquest was held on the bedy to-day. Dr. Dcnnnn. who made a post-mortem examination, said the body was veil nourished. Tie found acute pneumonia of the right Inns;, and the left lung was congested, showing pneumonia also, n ltness found no evidence of alcoholism. The cause of death was pneumonia, coiin plicated by endocarditis and terminal meningitis. A verdict in accordance with the medical testimony was recorded.
