FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications aro for strong easterly winds northwards of Kawllia and Gisborne, and modern to to strong north-east to south-east winds elsewhere. Weather warm and hazy generally,' but furthei/ rain may be expected m tho far north, and misty conditions at times in East Coast districts. The barometer has a falling tendency, especially in tho north. Anti-cyclonic conditions have ruled; fair, warm, and hazy weather, and variable breezes prevailing generally, hut rain has fallen in the northernmost districts with fresh easterly winds. B, V.
