THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M YESTERDAY. Present indications aro for Btrong easterly winds northwards of Kuwhia and East Capo, and moderate to strong northoast (to south-east winds elsewhere. Dull, misty -weather, and rain aro probable in the northern and East Coast portions of tho North Island, and warm, hazy conditions generally elsewhere, with cloudiness increasing and scattered rain following. Barometer unsteady, with a falling tendency scon. Fair to warm weather prevailed during the week-end, but an atmospheric depression located north of New 'Zealand has brought rain to-day to the northernmost districts.
