Karo was : made favourite. Lord Kcnilworth was i , tho first -to break the line, followed by King Lupin and Gaziflue. LonMCenilworth had increased his lead to eight , lengths bv the time three-nmirters of a s mile k.d 'been traversed. Vagabond bent Lord : Kenilworth by a length for second place. : Gazique was fourth. '•■ The Criterion Handicap was fought : nut bv a field of four, each of whom ■ was w'ell supported on the machine. It ■ was a race between Weldorie and Landi elide. The latter got the best*of tho '■" start. Seating Mountain Gold, who had a bad i run, by a length and a half. The wmj ner rah confidently and won decisively. : All Talk (Grav). and Nighlraider were • favourites in the Salisbury Welter, but i others were also well backed.
