CAPTURE OF ST. QUENTIN

General Monash, writing .in the "Sunday Times," describes the-capture of Peronne and Mont St. Quentin. He says: "When I telephoned to General Eawlinboii tliat wo had obtained a foot-'ng at Mont St. Quentin, he was totally incredulous at first, and then g-enerously congratulatory, proclaim)!),? that the event would havd a most important influence on the inimed'ato' course of the war" General Monash continues: "The execution of tho tact'c.il purposes resulting from these ennturps furnishes the finest, example of this war of spirited successful infantry action conducted bv three whole divisions onerat"'ng. simul-taneously."—Aus.-N./;.
