The New Zealand Loun and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At our liangiotu sale on Holiday we had a fair yarding of cattle. Bidding was animated, and we cleared the yarding under the hammer. We quote:—Pat cows, £10 to £11 15a.; forward cows, £6 155., £7. £7 4s. 6<1., j;7 145.. to £8 175.; etore cows, £3 ss. to .£4 7s. 6d.; empty heifers, £4 Ba. fid. to £5 12a. 6d.; Jersey heifera, £6 10s.; yearling steers, £2 Is.. £2 12s. id, to £2 175.; cows and calves, £8 ss. to £!); bulls (good), .£l7. Tho New Zealand Loan, and Mercantile, Agency Co. Ltd., report, having held a clearing sale of dairy stock on account of itr. J. A. Grant, at the farm, Levin, on Saturday. There was it good attendance- of buyers present, and competition was keen, and prices realised proved most satisfactory to the vendor. They quote — lieat cowb, £21 to £32; medium, £16 to £20; sovernl three-quartered and wecUr sorts, £9 10e. to £l<l; springing heifers £9; fat porkers, £3 12?. b±; sews, close to farrow, £8 15a. to £9 2s. 6d.; spring cart horse, £15. On account of other vendors: Cows, in milk, £11 to £16 55.; tpringing cows., £13 10s. to £14; mixed yearling cattle, £2 17s. 6d.; two-year ateers, £5 ]9e. 'i'ho Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., report having held a clearing sale on account of ]Ur. A. D. Grccu, when they cold the wholo of his live and dead stork, comprising a firstclass herd of 25 cows, dry Htoclc. implements, etc. Competition was fairly keen on the cows in profit, prices being from £10, £10 lOs.r £11 55., £11 7s. 6d., £11 it" 6d.; £12, £12 55., £13, £13 10s.. £14 5s £1A 10s.. £14 17s. 6d., £15 Ms., £15 1/js.; iMoro cows, £5 55., £5 155., £6 10s., to £7 15s Pigs: Slips, £2 125.; sow, £5 16s.
