The local Women's National Deserve will provide a rest tent at the next A. "and P. show- The sum of ,£5 has been donated by the Children's Convalescent ifrme, Wellington. The Tukapau Caledonian Society has donated .£IOO to the Takapati Soldiers' Memorial Fund. Tlio sum of .£2O subscribed local'v has been remitted to Dr. Barnado's Homes in Tiondon. The Dannevirke branch of the Farmers' Union has purchased a section of laud and building in Gordon Street. Stock, auctioneering firms have notified that they cannot see their way to subscribe towards the cost of the proposed 'selling-ring at the show ground. A temporary grandstand is to be erected on the Pnhiatua show wounds at an estimated cost of .El5O. • Mr. P. Hedges has donated a cup to the association, valued at £1 75.
