On the motion of the Mayor (Mr. E. P. Rishworth) the Lower Ilutt Borough Council last, night unnnimonsly decided to extend the season's greetings to tha council's staff'nml to the Press for tho reports of tho meetings. The Mayor, in extending the greetings to councillors, thanked'them for the way they had carried out the council's business. In reply Councillor Maeaskill congratulated the Mayor on the way lie had presided over tho council, tnd thanked him for the impartial way he had dealt with the council business. Ho had on occasions allowed councillors latitude which they were winctunes not actually entitled to. This was demo in the interests of tho borough and showed a well-balanced mind. On behalf of the council ho wished Mr. Bislnvorth the compliments of the season. Councillor Macaskill's remarks were greeted with applause.
