FIGURES FOR THE WEEK! INFLUENZA SHOWS A DECLINE INCREASE IN DIPHTHERIA CASES During the week ended December 22, 107-eases of infectious disca.se wore reported in tho Wellington Public Health District as compared with 10S for the previous week. The number of influenza notifications (3G) showoil a declino of six in comparison with the total for the weok eiulwl December 15, but eight more cases of diphtheria wcro reported. Eleven cases of measles also camo under the notice of the health authorities, an increase of five on the previous week's figures. Six of the influenza cases were of the pneumonic type, two being reported from Hastings, two from Hawera, one from Kapouga, and one from Hunterville.
