INCREASED NUMBER OF BENEFICIARIES. London, December 19.. . In spit'- «f =01110 protests against the dangerous precedent, the House of Commons, without a division, accepted Mr. Bonar Law't* motion enabling the Pensions Bill to bo rushed through the House, and subsequently passed tho Bill through all its stages without .a single amendment. Sir L. Worthington Evans, Minister of Pensions, explained (hat there would bo 220,000 new pensioners owing to the generous terms of the Bill in increasing Ihe amount of private means which pensioners are entitled to possess— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
