'—+. NO ADDITIONAL RETURNS. There are no additional returns for Hii> elections. All the returns now published are the final returns from the preliminary count, and tho preliminary count does not includ:- those votes recorded under absent voters' permits and seamen's rights. It may be that these other votes will not bo added to thototals until early in next week, and then tho returning officers will make their official count of the votes recorded. There were rumours yesterday that the figures in Bruce had been altered, and that Sir James Allen had been defeated, but there'was no official confirmation of this report. A similar rumour was current the .preceding day concerning the Auckland East election, the report being that Mr. Arthur Myers's majority had been wiped out, and that Mr. Mackenzie, was leading.
