The Palmerston North Borough Council lias resolved to Approach the ratepayers fur their sanction to raise an additional sum of J!10l),000 tor the completion of tlio tramways ana electric lightine schemes, as per revised estimates received front the electrical engineer, Mr l!\ Black. At lhe,half-yearly meeting of tho Loyal Mailawatu Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.l 1 "., tho election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows;—l.P.N.G., P. G. Bro. T. Bruce; N.G., Bro. S Wright; N.G., P.G.. Bro. li. S. Watsonj E.S. Bro. T. A. Rodgers; \Y., P. 0., Bro. J A. Wimskill. The newly-elected officers were dulv installed by L.M.
