BOOT OPERATIVES
AMENDMENTS TO AWARDS. By Tclcerapli—Presß Association. Christchurch, December 19. The whole of the male boot) operatives in tlio Dominion aro affected by amendments made in fllieir award, which was filed to-day. The hourly wage is now fixed at Is. Gd., plus a. bonus of 2d. The overtime rates are time and a half for the lirst three hours, thereafter double time, but the aforementioned bonus is not payable on overtime. The female boot operatives' award is alfio amended. For operatives who 'have served five years .and upwards, the minimum wage is so') down at £2, pairablo weekly. For hot wax thread machiniststlio rate is .£2 7s. 6d. per week. Overtimo rates will be on the same basis as those paid to men.
