———v NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. Tho annual meeting of the Now Zealand Amateur 'Athletic Association- was held at the Civil ciervice Club Booms on Monday. There were present: Messrs. A. A. Mnrrvatt (chairman) E. F. Chaffev. M. Burnett, J. C. 'Cnsaelc, D. M'Kenzie.. A.-Davies, and W. H. Pollock. The annual report and balance-sheet wero received The' balance-sheet showed a small cash balance in the' bank. ■ The meeting decided to place on Teenrd the splendid achievements of the Army athletes, notably Hi. Wilson, J. Wilton, Lindsay, and Mason. The following officers nud sub-com-mittees wero appointed:—President, Mr. A. A. Marrvatt; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. H. Pollock and C. E. Bridge; lion, secretary. Mr. N. A. .T. Barker; treasurer. Mr. A. Davies; auditor, Jlr C. D. Mornoth: reinstatement'j committee, Messrs. Bninett, Davies, and M'Konzie; delegates to the Olympic Council, Messrs. Marrvatt and Davies; selection committee for the Australian championships. Messrs. Pollock, Guise, and Burnett. The meeting decided to hold the New Zealand Championships at Wellington on the Basin Iteservo on January 17; 1920. and arrangements are now in hand. A team to represent Now Zealand in i the ' Anstralas"'-a» Cha!""inn«hios will be nicked on that date. The projected date of departure of this team is as near as' no=sible January 22, WQ. It. was decided to ask the Wellington Ccutro of the N.&.A.A.A. to meet the parent body with a view to mnkine the necessary arrangements for the championship meeting. Applications were received from various centr.-" for the nflil-'ntion of new clubs in all parts of the Dominion, and from the tone of the correspondence received the prospect'! of amateur athnevpr lyiVMpr. Tho services of the retiring secretary, Mr. Cnsack. were eulogised by the chairman, and an honorarium of »P"i ss. was granted to-him as an appreciation
