'SUCCESSFUL TRIAL TRIPS. By Telegraph—Press Associausn. Auckland, December 16. For Ihe first time in the history _of tho Dominion, mail matter was carried by seaplane to-day, when a trial trip was made from Auckland to Dargaville and back to Auckland. .The trip was without a hitch, and mails were carried both ways, The trip to Dargaville occupied 1 horn - .15 minutes, and tho return journey. 1 hour 23 minute?. The- aviators received an enthusiastic welcome at Dargaville, wliero Ihey were met by Mr. J, G. Cwitcs, Post-master-General.
