ARBITRATION COURT

STOREMEN AND PACKERS' AWARD, The amended award affecting the Wellington AYholosalo Merchants, Storemen, and Packers' Union has been filed in tlio Supreme Court. The amended award provides that an ordinary week's work' shall consist of 44 hours, except where a factory is carried on in conjunction'with, tho store, when the week's work shall not exceed 48 hours. Time worked, by Btoreinen and packers in excess of tho hours usuallv worked in any day shall ba considered overtime, ond shall be paid for at the rate of time and a half. An ordinary day's work shall not exceed nine hours, and overtime must be paid for any tiino worked in raoejw of nine hours in any one day. Storomen and tuckers over twenty-one years of age substantially employed at work usually penformed bV atoremen and packers shall ba paid not loss than the following wages:— Storemen or packers in charge of two or more men, other than casuals, £i per week: storemen or packers, £3 109 per week. In addition to tho minimum ratee thoro shall bo paid to the workers a bonus of 4s. per week. Junior etowmen or packers under 17 years of apo are to receive £1 per week; 17 to 18 years of tujo. 255. per week; 18 to 19 years, 80s. per week; 19 to 20 years, 85s. per week; 20 to 21 years, £2, and tkertafter the minimum waije. To the minimum rates the following bonuses must be added: Under 17 rears of age, 3s. Od. per week; 17 to 18 voars. 45.; 18 to 19 years, 4s.
